Cabin Air Filters

The air quality in big cities has deteriorated over the last decades, especially in areas with heavy traffic. Global warming increases plant growth, releasing ever more pollen in the air too.

Soot particles and dust cause health problems. More and more people are getting allergic reactions to pollen. Other than that, more and more cars are equipped with air conditioning systems. Dirt and pollen create a breeding ground for bacteria inside an air conditioning system, giving a foul stench when starting the ventilation system, which releases bacteria in the car that can make you sick.

Most modern cars are equipped with a cabin air filter to keep dust, dirt, soot and pollen out. The more high-end cars are even equipped with active carbon filters, which neutralise toxic hydrocarbons as well.

As cabin air filters get clogged and active carbon will be saturated, the filter will get less and less effective over time. Or even worse, the filter itself becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. That's why cabin filters have to be replaced every 15.000 km or at least once a year. In heavy polluted area's they should be replaced even sooner.

When it comes to cabin air filters, the quality and pore size of the filter material is essential. And as a filter only works if the air goes through the filter, a perfect fit and seal in the air duct is crucial, as is the connection between the filter material and the mould. Nipparts Cabin Air filters are made with consideration to all these aspects and guarantee a perfect fit and flawless operation.
